Abstract

|
목적: 본 연구의 목적은 경찰공무원의 외상후 성장에 대한 자존감과 문제중심대처에 효과를 확인하는 것이다.
방법: 2014년 7월 G시에 있는 10개 경찰서에 근무하는 137명의 경찰공무원을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, 그리고 다중회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다.
결과: 외상후 성장은 자존감과 문제중심대처와 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 자존감과 문제중심대처는 외상후 성장에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이들 변수는 외상후 성장의 19%를 설명하였다.
결론: 경찰공무원의 외상후 성장을 향상시키기 위해 자존감과 문제중심대처를 증진 시키기 위한 전략들이 필요하다.

Purpose: The objective of this study is to identify the effects of self-esteem and problem focused coping on post-traumatic growth among police officers.
Methods: The data were collected from the 137 police officers in ten police offices of G city in July 2014. The collected data were analyzed for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program.
Results: Post-traumatic growth was positively correlated with self-esteem and problem focused coping. Self-esteem and problem focused coping had a significant effects on post-traumatic growth. The explained variance for post-traumatic growth was 19.0%.
Conclusion: To improve post-traumatic growth of police officers, strategies to increase self-esteem and problem focused coping are needed.
